Group EHS, as part of Group Operations, has the role to assist Business Areas and Regions deliver on their goals and targets, by creating value through global synergies, and providing expertise and advice. Your role:
This role will focus on developing and deploying environmental objectives that align with SKF's ambitions, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for gap assessments, mitigating compliance risks, and facilitating the creation of bottom-up roadmaps in the business areas to enhance the environmental performance of all SKF operations. The role also encompasses the responsibility to secure a systematic approach to facilitate continual improvement based on the Group EHS Management System.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Enable compliance and a proactive approach to rapidly developing and emerging ESG legislation and regulations, for example CSRD and EU taxonomy.
  • Understand other stakeholder expectations and emerging environmental topics such as biodiversity, water management, substances of concern, supply chain environmental risks, and environmental due diligence.
  • Develop and ensure deployment of environmental objectives in line with SKF's sustainability goals.
  • Facilitate the process for business areas/sites to create environmental performance roadmaps.
  • Integrate environmental management in business processes such as supply chain, technology development, and product development.
  • Provide expert advice to the organization, covering existing capacity/competence gaps such as compliance risks related to substances of concern in production processes, and water related programs in the operations.
  • Maintain and develop related areas in the Group EHS Management System.
  • Develop and improve processes, tools, and requirements related to environmental management in the SKF operations.
  • Provide development of technical support material, and training and awareness offer.
 
Your profile:
  • Passion for contributing to SKF's journey towards a safer, healthier and more productive working environment, and reduced environmental impact from SKFs operations.
  • Solid understanding of environmental management and practice gained through operational experience.
  • Experience in chemical and waste management.
  • University degree or relevant experience gained in multinational companies and in multiple business areas.
  • Able to work with sustained attention and deliver outcomes on one's own initiative.
  • Ability to work globally at all levels.
  • Effective communication capabilities and fluent English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
