Safety Installation Officer

We are now strengthening our Nordic organization and are looking for a Safety Installation Officer to support Calderys’ installation activities across Sweden, with base in Gävle. 

The Role

This position plays a key role in ensuring that health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards are consistently applied throughout Calderys’ installation projects. The role is operational and field-based, with a strong presence at customer sites and close collaboration with project teams, subcontractors and customers.

You will act as a trusted HSE partner — supporting, coaching and, when necessary, intervening — to ensure safe execution of installation work from planning through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide HSE leadership and support to Calderys installation projects across Sweden
• Act as Calderys’ on-site HSE representative at customer facilities
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections and toolbox talks
• Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Support project teams during tender and planning phases, integrating HSE requirements into project execution
• Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, communication and training
• Ensure compliance with local legislation and Calderys HSE standards
• Travel approximately 40–60%, primarily within Sweden

Requirements

• Experience from heavy industry, construction, installation or industrial project environments
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
• Fluent Swedish (native level) and professional English
• Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels, demonstrating transparency, honesty and clear communication in all interactions
