About Us
The newly established department of Technology & Innovation within the Digitalization & Transformation unit is part of our initiative called PROACTIVE.ON. Its purpose is to further develop our operations to be even more digital and innovative. Together, we ensure that Energy Networks, our electrical grid business, aligns with the company's strategy and meets the capacity and regulatory changes in the changing energy landscape.
About the role
As a business developer, you will assist in sustainably advancing the electrical grid market. To transition our company in a more sustainable direction, we aim to identify environmentally friendly materials that align with our Net Zero 2035 commitment, with a focus on our grid infrastructure, especially transformers and cables. You will collaborate with internal experts, contractors, and suppliers to create new solutions and act as a spokesperson for universities, research institutes, the E.ON Group, and other network companies. We need you to ensure a complete transformation of business processes to utilize sustainable materials and, of course, challenge the status quo within the company and the industry at large.
Your background
We are currently looking for a business developer to join our innovation department and lead sustainable components. As an individual, you should have in-depth knowledge of cables or transformers and be able to take a market perspective. You need to understand the technical requirements and internal guidelines to ensure that we find technical materials suitable for our grids. To be successful in your stakeholder management, you must have a strong ability to build alliances within the company, the energy sector, and other stakeholders.
As part of your work, you will analyze the challenges in the value chain that needs transformation - where and how to begin addressing the emissions issues in the value chain? To succeed, you will closely collaborate with our procurement organization, consisting of procurement category leads and technical experts. At the same time, you will participate in various forums and discuss relevant standards/norms.
