SaltX is on a mission to erase industries’ dependency on fossil fuels, starting with the quicklime and cement industries that stand for more than 8% of the world’s CO2 emissions. We innovate and industrialize electrification technologies aiming to make a shift in the gigaton scale to reach net-zero industrial emissions.
We create value by being a strategic partner to heavy-emission industries that are committed to decarbonize their operations. The industrial dependency on fossil-fuels in high-temperature heating industries can finally become history thanks to our patented innovation- the Electric Arc Calciner (eAC). Our electric plasma technology replaces fossil-driven heating with renewable electricity and captures the CO2 emissions released during the heating process.
We are now looking for two experienced Project Leaders who wants to join a dedicated, diverse team to drive sustainable change!
Project Lead
As a Project Lead, you will lead projects with our customers and partners in sectors such as quicklime, cement and direct air capture. You will play a crucial role in assessing the feasibility and implementation strategies of our innovative decarbonization technology. You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and technology partners to explore, evaluate, and deliver tailored decarbonization strategies- from feasibility studies to full FEED and implementation phases.
This is a highly collaborative, customer-facing role at the forefront of clean technology deployment.
Key responsibilities
As a Project Lead, you’ll manage complex, early-phase engineering projects designed to decarbonize hard to abate industries. You’ll coordinate cross-disciplinary teams of internal and external experts- including process, electrical, and automation engineers, to ensure technical alignment, project efficiency, and stakeholder engagement.
Tasks include:
Lead feasibility and pre-FEED studies: Evaluate technical and economic viability of implementing our solutions in customer facilities through close cooperation with client teams.
Lead FEED projects: Manage and coordinate full FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) efforts, ensuring alignment with customer objectives, engineering best practices, and project delivery frameworks.
Define project scope and success metrics: Clearly outline objectives, deliverables, and timelines that align with customer expectations and strategic goals.
Drive execution: Deliver on milestones, manage budgets and risks, and maintain high standards of quality and technical rigor.
Foster strong team collaboration: Create a productive environment that encourages innovation, problem-solving, and knowledge-sharing within a diverse project team.
Translate findings into action: Develop and present structured reports including techno-economic assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and detailed implementation roadmaps.
Act as a trusted advisor to customers: Build strong, lasting relationships and communicate complex results in a clear, confident, and solution-oriented manner.
Engage cross-functionally: Work closely with engineering, commercial, and R&D teams to align efforts and support the overall success of each project.
What you’ll bring
To thrive at SaltX we believe that it is important that our values correlate with yours. We also believe that you have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in project management, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex processes and identify innovative solutions.
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders while balancing commercial considerations.
What sets you apart
Have a "can-do' attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit combined with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and budgets.
Ability to work well with others in a multi-cultural team environment, as well as independently.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities.
A strong commitment to sustainability and a desire to make a real-world impact.
Every day we challenge ourselves and others to erase industries’ dependence on fossil fuels. We do this by being innovative, caring and collaborative. Research indicates that women and other under-represented groups in our industry often hesitate to apply for a position unless they meet the majority of the requirements outlined in the job description. If you share our passion for the green transition, but feel uncertain because your experience may not perfectly align with the qualifications specified in the job advertisement, we strongly encourage you to apply nonetheless. At SaltX, we are doing things that haven’t been done before and believe that fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team is crucial in advancing our mission to decarbonize the quicklime and cement industries.
